Another Goldfinger anniversary release this week - the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition, which is a fitting tribute to 60 Years since the first Aston Martin featured in a Bond film.

While the DB12 will be quite expensive, another noteworthy Aston Martin sold for only £46,000 at auction last week: a Vanquish from the Die Another Day promo photoshoot with Pierce Brosnan.

I visited London last weekend, checking out the very cool 007 Bar and brand displays at Burlington Arcade and meeting up with some familiar Bond fans along the way - see the photos on Instagram.

To mark 60 years since Aston Martin made its first appearance in a James Bond film, Aston Martin has revealed the DB12 Goldfinger Edition.

The first Cumbria Crystal Grasmere sighting?

When James Bond used a Cumbria Crystal Grasmere tumbler in Casino Royale (2006) he was not the first or last on-screen character to use this particular tumbler. I spotted the tumblers in a few series including Lost, but recently I was watching an episode of Inspector Morse and spotted what is the oldest on-screen sighting of the tumbler so far.

Inspector Morse uses a Cumbria Crystal Grasmere DOF tumbler in Season 3, Episode 2 which first aired in 1989. Morse, in his own apartment, drinks The Famous Grouse whisky from a Cumbria Crystal Grasmere DOF tumbler to ease a toothache.
