Die Another Day director Lee Tamahori passed away last week. I once had the pleasure of meeting him, quite unexpectedly, at a mutual friend’s dinner in Antwerp, Belgium in 2013. I remember Tamahori wearing a blue Omega Seamaster watch, inscribed on the case-back with something like “Thank you - Michael and Barbara”. Speaking of Ajay, he and Matthew Field have released yet another book, this time focusing on the locations of the James Bond films. It’s not a detailed guide like On The Tracks of 007 but rather an in-depth look at locations, why these were chosen, behind-the-scenes stories and interviews with the people who worked on the films.

A new Moonraker vinyl was released in two limited edition versions, although the difference is small: the print design of the vinyl and the availability number. More below.

In France, a lot of movie cars go under the hammer, including many screen-used vehicles, but also Bond-inspired Z3 (Neiman Marcus Edition) and 750iL (made to look like the TND movie car).

BMW Z3 Neiman Marcus Edition and movie cars on auction

A selection of iconic movie cars from French and international cinema will be offered in an online auction organised by Bonhams Cars from 21 to 28 November 2025.

James Bond is represented by a BMW 750 (estimate: €15,000-20,000) and BMW Z3 Neiman Marcus Edition (estimate: €20,000-30,000).

Adidas shoes worn by Daniel Craig during Quantum of Solace rooftop chase

Thanks to a tip from Bond fan Andy Kent we now know that Daniel Craig wore Adidas Terrex shoes on the set of QoS for the rooftop chase. The Terrex model is still available in different variations. The Terrex Swift R2 Mid GTX is pretty similar for example.

Bond Seiko alternative on Sale

The Q Timex 1982 Ana-Digi Reissue watch, released earlier this year, is one of the best alternatives for Bond’s Seiko from FYEO.

The watch has a nice metal case, analogue - digital screens and the ‘Q’ makes for a subtle Bond reference.
