Ian Fleming Publications’ 7th pick for Bond Book Club is a book that Bond himself is a fan of, having read it in From Russia, with Love.

Published in 1939, this is a classic spy fiction novel which helped to define the modern thriller, heavily influencing Ian Fleming as well as other writers such as John le Carré.​

Protagonist Charles Latimer follows the trail of Dimitrios, the notorious master criminal whose body has just been pulled from the Bosphorus. Drawn in by a writer’s curiosity, Latimer begins tracing the man’s past across Europe only to discover that Dimitrios’ story is far from over, and far more dangerous than it first appeared.​

The Spy Who Loved to Have a Drink is an unofficial and unauthorized literary guide by Žiga Vižintin that breaks down the beverages consumed in Ian Fleming’s original James Bond novels.
