Not much Bond news this week, but lots of Aston Martins on auction including at Sotheby’s Bond on Bond Street Sale, where Cubby Broccoli’s personal Aston Martin V8 Volante seemed to have failed to sell, but a DB5 once owned by a prince was sold for £495,300. Another left-hand drive DB5 can be yours for an estimated €250,000 - €400,000 (but it needs some work) at an upcoming sale in Belgium.

A 1987 Aston Martin V8 Volante ordered new and owned by the father of Bond cinema, Albert ‘Cubby’ Broccoli, was offered at auction by RM Sotheby's on September 22, 2023, but seemed to have failed to sell. A Goodwood Green DB5 in the same auction fetched 495,300 GBP.

Latest addition to the list: James Bond Theme, Moby's Re-Version

One of my favorite renditions of the classic James Bond theme and one of the first Bond songs I had as a single. The upbeat song is featured on the Tomorrow Never Dies soundtrack and on I Like to Score, a compilation of Moby's songs used in films.

Q. Which three Bond clothes or accessories do you wear the most?
A. I don't wear any Bond clothes or accessories.

Q. If you could keep only 1 item of your Bond collection, what would it be?
A. I would keep my 1977 Corgi Aston Martin car. A childhood toy that is bashed and a bit busted but I could never part with it.

Q. What is your most popular post/video?
A. I honestly don't keep track of the numbers in that sense. I approach the practice of social media very loosely and 'from the hip' without trying to identify trends etc. That being said, our approach must work because we have 14K followers on Instagram and 18K followers on Twitter (X), ALL gained organically, so we must be doing something right.

Q. Which Bond location do you still want to visit?
A. I would love to visit the Temples of Tikal as featured briefly in Moonraker.

Q. If you could meet any Bond actor (even if they’re no longer with us), who would that be and why?
A. I would love to sit down and buy a pint of beer for the legend that is Mr. Timothy Dalton. I would be happy listening to him reading a shopping receipt but to hear his insight on Bond and how he felt as a young actor when being first courted by Cubby Broccoli would be fascinating.

Q. Which Bond-related song do you want to add to the Bond Lifestyle Spotify Playlist?
A. It has to be something by John Barry. I'll choose 'Flight Into Space' from Moonraker.

A. Omega.
