Prop Store is holding another auction later this month - take a look at some of the James Bond prop highlights.

One of the items in the auction is the cap worn by Albert Finney as Kincade in SkyFall. As far as I know this was not yet identified - even the brand itself doesn’t mention it on its website, even though they do mention that Kincade wore a pair of their trousers. Read more about the cap here.

And the Oscars dedicated some significant time to a James Bond tribute although the reactions to the musical tribute were not overwhelmingly positive.

Bond props on Auction in Los Angeles

Prop Store is hosting its Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in Los Angeles from March 26 - March 28, 2025. The auction features several interesting James Bond lifestyle props.

Kincade’s cap identified

Thanks to a lot in the upcoming Prop Store auction, we now know that Albery Finney as Kincade wore a Cordings Cap in SkyFall. According to Cordings, a 185-year old British brand currently co-owned by Eric Clapton, Finney also wore Cordings trousers in the film.

Academy Awards James Bond tribute

The Academy Awards Ceremony last weekend included a tribute segment to James Bond and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, although especially the musical performances were not to everyone’s taste. Why couldn’t they get any of the original artists to perform some of the songs, like Adele for SkyFall?

EBAY TIP

Seiko M354-5019 “Moonraker”

There are currently two Seiko M354-5019 watches on eBay, both in excellent condition - but they’re not cheap.

The first one is offered in the United States for $535 and comes in a burgundy Seiko box.

The second one is offered in Canada for C$625 (approximately US $435).

Vintage Cool-Ray Thunderball sunglasses

A pair of vintage Polaroid Cool-Ray sunglasses, the model worn by Sean Connery in Thunderball (1965), is offered on eBay for $179, which is also a bit expensive. You should be able to find these sometimes for less than $100. But this one does seem to be in good condition.

BMW releases Historic Models Catalog

BMW launched a new online Historic Models Product Catalog, including vehicles from 1928 until 2008. Naturally, the archive includes James Bond vehicles 750iL, Z3 and Z8.
