The name is Bone, Caffery Bone. The Strand Magazine announces the first wide release of an unpublished Ian Fleming story, which he wrote just before Casino Royale, starring a character named Caffery Bone.

The Strand Magazine announces, with full authorisation from the Fleming and Greene estates, the first wide release of an unpublished Ian Fleming story - timed for what would have been his 117th birthday - alongside Graham Greene’s rare supernatural entry, “Reading at Night.”

Cover reveal

Ian Fleming Publications revealed the cover of the upcoming story The Hook and the Eye, written by Raymond Benson and focusing on James Bond’s friend and ally Felix Leiter.

This eBook is being released as a serial with ten episodes. A new episode will be released every two weeks, starting on May 27th 2025.

BUILDING THE 1:8 SCALE ASTON MARTIN

The chassis and suspension

 

I’m building the 1:8 Scale Aston Martin DB5 from Agora Models.

This week I have completed the base of the chassis and the front and rear suspension. This is all part of Box 04 and Box 05.

It was slightly tricky as the suspension is held together not only with screws, but also with metal pins that are sometimes difficult to push into place and sometimes the pin disappareaed into the chassis, forcing me to disassemble certain parts to get the pin out. But in the end, it all looks good and pretty solid.

Note that the chassis is made of metal, so it’s quite heavy.
