Only 82 miles!

A blue 1996 BMW Z3 in mint condition is currently offered on Bring A Trailer. This might be the best-preserved example of a BMW Z3 in GoldenEye spec.

ACCESSORIES

Cool-Ray Polaroid N135 sunglasses

It is believed that James Bond (Sean Connery) wears Cool-Ray Polaroid N135 sunglasses in the 1965 movie Thunderball.

Curry & Paxton offers a pair of sunglasses inspired by Bond's shades in Thunderball. These glasses are almost identical to the Cool-Ray glasses (read more here) but are much higher quality and less fragile than a vintage pair of Cool-Ray's.

Q&A

For this newsletter, we’re bringing Reuben Wakeman aka toysofbond into the interrogation room. Reuben is a collector of James Bond memorabilia who shares his collection on Instagram and on his website. A graphic designer by profession, he often turns his hand to James Bond-related design work of his own and for other members of the Bond community.

Q. Which three Bond clothes or accessories do you wear the most?
A. I'm not much of a Bond clothes/accessories type of person, but having been to lots of Bond events over the past few years my tuxedo sure has had a lot of use.

Q. If you could keep only 1 item of your Bond collection, what would it be?
A. I have some pretty cool original and fairly rare James Bond toys from the 1960s, so it would probably have to be one of those.

Q. What is your most popular post/video?
A. Ironically my most popular post isn't from my collection or any of my artwork, but a picture of Piz Gloria. Having been there myself for the first time a couple of years ago I can see why it's such a popular place, especially for us Bond fans.

Q. Which Bond location do you still want to visit?
A. For me it has to be Jamaica. I'd love to stay at Goldeneye one day and also take in some of the filming locations used in Dr No, Live And Let Die and No Time To Die, as well as enjoying all the island has to offer.

Q. If you could meet any Bond actor (even if they’re no longer with us), who would that be and why?
A. Desmond Llewelyn - he just seemed such a lovely man and having worked with five of the six Bonds he must have had some great stories to tell.

Q. Which Bond-related song do you want to add to the Bond Lifestyle Playlist on Spotify / YouTube?
A. “Cafe Martinique” from the Thunderball score. Domino is one of my favourite Bond girls, so any reminder of the thought of dancing the night away with her is good!

Q. Rolex or Omega?
A. Neither. I think I'd opt for something a little cheaper, perhaps an Octopussy Seiko instead!
