BOOKS
The James Bond Book Club Selection For January
IFP’s latest James Bond Club selection is "Oxford Soju Club” by Jinwoo Park. According to IanFleming.org the book is a bold, genre-blending debut published in 2025 that reimagines the spy novel through the lens of identity, nationality, loyalty and belonging. More than just a good story, this month’s choice looks at the masks we wear, the allegiances we forge, and the truths we hide, all set against the storied spires of Oxford.

Update: George Harrison’s Aston Martin DB5
One more piece of the puzzle of the story of George Harrison’s Aston Martin DB5: we already knew the car spent some time in The Netherlands, but now we have some more specific info.
In 1978, the car was offered for sale by Rob Slob in Beverwijk, as we can see in this Telegraaf newspaper advertisement, kindly sent to me by Mr Docen, who found the scan in the archives of historical society 'Historisch Genootschap Midden-Kennemerland’.
The ad text translates to:
"Attention Beatles fans!! Aston Martin DB5, 1965, originally delivered to George Harrison, 47,000 miles driven. For sale in good condition. Price f 28,250.”
Who owned the car before the ad or who purchased it remains unknown. But the car shows up again in a 1985 Sotheby’s Auction.

David Zaritsky has announced new adventures of GATHERALL at GoldenEye in Jamaica in 2026! For many years, he has been experiencing GoldenEye with family and friends, and each time is a renewed pleasure. Now, you have the opportunity to join the GATHERALL experiences with not one but TWO dates:
Wed, June 17 - Sun, June 21
Wed, Sept 9 - Sun, Sept 13
EVENTS
Q The Music feat. David Arnold
On Sunday 1 November 2026, Q The Music will present its largest production to date at the London Palladium. The concert will feature the ensemble’s biggest orchestra so far, with more than 60 musicians on stage, and will be joined by composer David Arnold. The programme will consist entirely of Arnold’s James Bond scores, marking the first time a full concert has been devoted exclusively to his Bond music. Pre- and after-show events are also planned, with capacity more limited than in previous years.
Ticket sales will be released in stages, beginning this week with pre-sale reservations for Fan Scheme members in the following order: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Friend Scheme members. General public ticket sales will open via the theatre’s website in mid to late February. With the London Palladium as the venue and a programme focused solely on David Arnold’s Bond compositions, demand is expected to be high. Further details will be shared through the Q The Music mailing list and official social channels.
